About Bilsby & Farlesthorpe Parish
The Parish of Bilsby and Farlesthorpe incorporates the hamlets of Asserby and Thurlby. The parish lies about 1 mile from the market town of Alford and is on route to the coastal towns of Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea.
Bilsby still has a busy village shop, post office, filling station and a vehicle workshop. Holy Trinity church stands on the main road, while on the opposite of the road is Church House, the residence of a former vicar.
Farlesthorpe is a small mainly agricultural hamlet which is part of the parish of Bilsby. It has its own church and telephone box.
