National Grid: EGL 5 Stage 2 Consultation opens Friday 29 May until Friday 24 July

Eastern Green Link 5 (EGL 5) is a new primarily offshore high voltage electricity link, with associated onshore infrastructure between Scotland and England.

EGL5s subsea offshore cables would run from Scotland and make landfall on the Lincolnshire coastline at Anderby Creek.

Once onshore, the underground high voltage direct current cables would route to a single proposed converter station located either to the north-east of Bilsby or to the north-west of Huttoft.

Stage 2 consultation opens at noon Friday 29 May and closes at 11:59pm on Friday 24 July.
